Classes in Search For The Needle
What the NEW CLASSES banner actually proves — and how to treat a picker as a role overlay until tooltips name rows.
Search For The Needle currently advertises NEW CLASSES on the official icon art. That banner is real. Named class rows are not — not on the public Roblox description, and not in any tooltip this wiki can cite. Until a session UI lists a class with a readable stat, this page will not invent a Warrior, a Mage, a luck thief, or a pet class to fill the gap.
The live loop is still the one on how to play: collect hay, sell cash, buy upgrades, find one needle in 1,000,000 hay. A class, if your client actually offers a picker, is a role overlay on that loop. It is not a second campaign.
What we can verify
- Icon art for Find the Needle! currently banners NEW CLASSES.
- The public description still lists the collect / sell / upgrade / find loop and does not name class rows.
- The experience is free, R15, 20-player servers, one needle.
- The place continued to publish into 3 September 2026. The dated note for that republish is New Classes update.
That is the whole verified class patch. Marketing on a thumbnail is not a stat sheet.
If a class picker appears in your session
Treat it as a hat on the same jobs the Players hub already uses. Read the tooltip. If the text does not mention hay, cash, radius, speed, or a search tell, it is flavor. Then map the flavor onto a role you can already play:
- Hunter overlay. You still collect, but you pause more often, orbit a cleared pocket, and call metal. Camera discipline matters more than a maxed shop. This is the searcher on playstyles.
- Farmer overlay. You exist to strip volume and fund the next shop rank — including your own. Pickup amount and pickup radius remain the real multipliers. A farmer who never searches still helps if the wall actually recedes.
- Runner overlay. You take the walk tax: vendor trips, HUD help, Daily Rewards if that panel is visible in that player’s session. Runners buy movement earlier than a solo would. One runner per party is enough.
Those three jobs already have geometry on group hunt: walls, peak, ground ring, vendor path. A class picker does not replace face assignments. If your party cannot name a wall, you have a crowd with extra labels.
What a class would have to show to matter
A class is only a build if the tooltip changes a job the shop already ranks:
- More hay per action or a wider pickup radius (collection).
- Better cash per hay or a faster sell (economy).
- Walk speed for the vendor path (movement).
- A genuine search tell — a highlight, a sense ping, a contrast buff — that actually fires on the needle object.
If the picker only changes an animation, a title, or a trail, it is cosmetic with extra steps. Spend order still belongs on upgrades and the letters still belong on the tier list. Do not reroute first coins into a mystery class because the icon shouted.
Hover. Tap. Read. If the row is unlabeled, skip it until the text is clear. Mystery rows are how people buy flavor and stay on default pickup.
What we will not invent
- Named classes (no Warrior / Mage / Archer / Tank lists).
- Hidden stat tables, damage formulas, or “best class for needle luck.”
- A class that skips the hay loop. Nothing on the public page replaces collect → sell → search.
- Promo codes tied to a class unlock. The codes table is still empty.
- A requirement to pick a class before the needle can spawn. The needle is a world object in the pile.
When a tooltip finally names a row, this page will add that name and the job it maps to. Until then, screenshots of the banner are not screenshots of a roster.
Solo players and the banner
Most sessions are solo. Solo hunters already rotate farmer and hunter every ten to fifteen minutes. A class picker does not change that timer. If the picker offers a default and a locked row, play the default, fund collection, and ignore locked flavor until you can read it. Do not stand in the lobby comparing rumors while the pile sits still.
If the picker is missing on your device, you are not behind. The public description still does not require a class to collect hay. Rejoin from the official place after a shutdown, then check the icon and the HUD again. Republish checklist: New Classes update.
Group hunts with unlabeled classes
If friends load different pickers — or one friend has a picker and you do not — assign faces, not labels. North wall still strips. Peak still scans. The runner still sells. Chat about metal and clear pockets, not about a class tree nobody can cite. Twenty unlabeled classes on one photogenic slope are still one clicker with extra hats.
Cash stays per account. A “support class” cannot pay your shop. Shop jobs still beat identity.
How to inspect after you spawn
- Confirm you are on Find the Needle! (place
83238501165241). - Look at the HUD for a class button, loadout row, or spawn picker.
- Open it. Read every tooltip twice.
- Map whatever you can verify onto hunter / farmer / runner.
- Buy the next collection rank that matches that job.
- Play the loop. Come back to this page when a name is actually on screen.
Classes on this wiki are a honesty page, not a gacha roster. The banner exists. The names do not — not yet. Play the pile anyway.
